NETWORK PERFORMANCE TOOLKIT

Telecommunications Division / Internet2 Network Performance Toolkit

TD offers a diagnostic network performance toolkit to aid Unit Computing Specialists in identifying and correcting host-based network performance issues. The toolkit is based on Internet2.edu's E2EPI Network Performance Toolkit. At this time, only the Network Diagnostic Tool from the E2EPI suite is available. More tools will be brought online as TD is able to identify needs and devote additional resources.

Network Diagnostic Tool (NDT)

NDT is a resource to aid end-users in tuning their IP host's TCP stack for optimal performance over TCP/IP networks. The utility is intended to help users tune TCP stack parameters, identify potential network bottlenecks, and identify potential network performance issues. The tool requires a Java-enabled web browser, and a working network connection. TD supports three NDT servers, one on each of the three Rutgers metro campuses, for use by the Rutgers community as a diagnostic and troubleshooting aid.

Please refer to the Network Diagnostic Tool Documentation for Rutgers Users additional information.
