TD's Network Operations and Architecture group is responsible for the management and operation of the Rutgers University data communications network (RUNet).

The primary mission of the Network Operations and Architecture group is to build, manage and operate RUNet in a manner which provides stable and reliable information transfer in support of students, faculty and staff at the University while conforming to national and international standards.

Through the application of industry best practices and by adopting suitable elements from corporate models, we strive to maximize predictability, reliability, performance and service while minimizing surface complexity.

The Network Operations and Architecture group is also responsible for the development and management of various key network services at the University. It is also responsible for the University's external internet connections and public modem pools.
