Student Telephone Service (STS) serves more than 13,000 undergraduate resident students on all campuses and you can use it immediately upon your arrival. All that is needed is a telephone set that you or your roommate must provide.

You will immediately be able to:

• Receive all incoming calls.
• Make free, unlimited calls to on-campus locations.
• Make free, unlimited calls to the Verizon local calling area.
• Call toll free "800" numbers.

For those wishing to place calls out of the local calling area, you will have to supply your own "800" or toll free based calling card. You are able to select your own long distance service by shopping around for the calling card that best suits your needs. As noted above, you will also get free service to the local calling area. This STS system has been selected to meet the changing needs of the students and in keeping pace with current telecommunication trends.
