The Network Operations Center generates three types of notifications concerning network outages. These notifications are currently distributed to the net_people@email.rutgers.edu mailing list, and are posted in the "Announcement" area of the NOC website.

Maintenance

TD Network Operations routinely performs maintenance on the University network.

Scheduled Network Maintenance notifications refer to work that will take place during the week at a previously planned time.

Emergency Network Maintenance notifications are announced in response to work TD must perform in order to circumvent a more serious event or outage. Work windows of this type are announced and executed on the same day.
